Who Is Nyc Makeup Owned By

It'southward no secret that NYC New York Color (owned past Coty) has a smaller presence in retail locations than it did a few years agone. In early 2015, NYC exited Rite Aid, and I know that some CVS locations no longer carry the brand (some yet practice, though--it depends on your region). In my expanse, yous can all the same discover NYC at CVS, Target, Walmart, and Kmart, although I know that's not the case for many of y'all.

At any charge per unit, their presence has been shrinking over the past few years. And today, I received a tip from reader Laurie letting me know that ALL of NYC's social media channels have been deleted. You can check that for yourself past clicking these links:

Equally you can see, all of those channels no longer exist. As of the time of publication, their website is still agile.

So what does this mean? I have absolutely no idea, but it doesn't look good, does it? I as well want to mention that a few months ago, some of you lot kindly sent me pics of new Demi Lovato palettes (Non the original palette here, but OTHER Demi Lovato palettes in the same style as that palette, just with different shades). Those readers plant these new palettes at discounters like Burlington Coat Manufacturing plant, which I found kind of odd since, to my cognition, those palettes never released in stores similar CVS, Walmart, and Target. Now I'm wondering if those palettes were part of a project that never took off, and so NYC just decided to sell them to discounters? I take NO idea if that's true--it's only a guess.

Every bit a longtime fan of many products from NYC, my inner hoarder is telling me that I need to stock up on my favorites. To exist clear, I am in no fashion maxim that I remember NYC is going under. They could merely exist revamping or changing the name/paradigm/direction of the make, or something else entirely could be happening. I really don't know.

But what I DO know is that if y'all love NYC and y'all're worried that you may not be able to find your favorite products soon, you should probably get to your local Dollar Tree and/or Large Lots and come across what you tin can find (those two retailers e'er seem to accept lots of NYC in stock). Also go to your local retailers that yet behave the brand (the retailers I listed higher up). And if you're yet having trouble finding your favorites, try online at one of the post-obit retailers (every bit of the time of publication, these retailers all withal behave various NYC products):

Target
Drugstore.com
